Weather The Econonic Storm With Gages?
In these troubled times, Birdsall Tool & Gage Company
is prepared to weather the economicstorm. We are a
second generation family owned business with a
conservative history. We own our own manufacturing
plant and all our equipment is paid for. We are available
to serveour clients now and in the future. The US auto
industry will be reborn and we are committed
to help with that process.
When planning for the future there are three ways to
address your gaging needs: Tactical,Logistical, and
Strategic. In troubled times when money is tight, it is
easy to try the first two methods and in the end, fall
short of a long term plan.
Tactical gaging is when we put out the fire with a
quick fix. Sometimes GD&T tolerancing is ignored to
save money. Those who use the Logistical approach
will look at the current needs and plan the gaging within
a box, focusing on the current part that is being produced.
Strategic gaging looks not only at the immediate need
and the current part requirements but also into the future
to what might happen in product development. Some of
the questions that need to be asked include possible part
changes during the production cycle, future use of current
gages on other products, production quantity variables,
and many other futuristic product advancements.
Birdsall Tool & Gage has years of experience, a design library
second to none, and a desire to be a part of the strategic future
of its customers. Visit our web site, join our blog,
